I am going to review on the filter and not the shipping. The filter can be bought at home depot for about for 2. It is the BEST filter I have had. I have tried many other filters since I have brown water. This is the only filter to catch the vast majority of the sediment. I have to change it once a week (I have seriously dirty water) but I went from having dirt stained toilets and tubs, and dirt on the rim when cooking in a pot to clean water. Do a double filter system where this is the first filter, and the second filter is finer (and more expensive), and the water is pretty much as clean as city water!

I have a GE whole house filter system on our well that serves the house. I''ve had it for 3+ yrs.. There is a fine, dark sediment that the well pump sucks up, & this filter captures ALL of that, otherwise we''d have it in or washin machine, clothes, drinking water, etc.. I HIGHLY recommend the filter(to capture fine particles) & system.

I found that these filters are much better priced on amazon. I buy 1 years worth then my husband has them handy so that they can be changed the 1st of eveery month.

When I tried to order filters GE informed me that they had been replaced by these FXUSC filters. Absolutely wrong! These filters are too tall and are not string. They will never work in my water softener. That is nothing wrong on the side of Amazon but rather on the side of GE who obviously don''t know their own products!
