I''ve had many issues with the preinstalled fittings leaking. I had to re-tape almost all the fittings because of the poor quality control of who sells/assembles this system. Good thing I mounted the unit above a utility sink. I use this unit to supply my 180 and 125 gallon aquariums with water, it''s not for human consumption. Make sure you install a valve before and after the unit that''s easy to get to.The unit actually supplies more than 100gpd, I don''t know if this is good, or a sign that something isn''t right. I ran the waste water tube directly to my sump hole, which I recommend if you have one and it''s nearby, you won''t have to tap into the plumbing under a sink if this is the case, saving time and back pain. I would recommend installing the unit in the basement, or basically anywhere else besides under a sink. With how many leaks I''ve had, I am glad I didn''t trash the wood cabinet under a sink.
The directions are a joke for the most part, the youtube video helps, but it''s not for this system (of course). It''s easy enough to do, just follow the flow of the water.
I''ve had the unit for a couple months and have filtered about 500 gallons of water with it so far. Now the booster pump is making noise, so I am assuming this won''t last much longer.
Overall, for the price I guess it does the job, but it''s also been quite a pain to babysit.

I bought this filter to try to make my particularly nasty well water drinkable. I have not yet tried the water it makes, because the bad chemical odor from the filters hasn''t yet gone away. On the internet it looks nice, but after taking it out of the box and assembling it I''m really not impressed. Most of the components seem to be decent (but not great) quality. I''m particularly disappointed with the way it''s assembled. All of the various filter cartages and the UV chamber are just clipped together with cheap plastic clips that allow the filters so slump downward and all rest on the booster pump and hang from the hoses. The steel bracket that the three filters along the bottom hang from is not stout enough to hold the weight of the unit, so it slumps until the filters hold the weight against the wall. The manual, and the various labels and tags and such are written in very bad English. Although this doesnt take away from the functionality of the filter, I do think that if the company couldn''t take the time to edit their manual that it suggests a similar amount of effort went into the design of the unit. For example: the power supply for the UV lamp as a red light and a green light to indicate weather it is properly functioning or not. The red light says "not work" and the green light says "work." This really makes me wonder about the credibility of the claim that it kills 99% of bacteria.Want iSpring 100GPD 6-Stage Reverse Osmosis RO UV Water Filter System Discount?
We are very happy with the iSpring 100GPD 6-Stage Reverse Osmosis UV water filtration system. It was very easy to install and the system worked without and leaks or major problems. Our system came with one of the tee fitting broke and a input fitting to the final stage carbon filter was also broke in shipment. A quick trip to the local The Home Depot for a replace tee and the system was ready to use. They include extra fittings in the installation kit but not a tee. The component quality is excellent and the boost pump runs very quietly. The UV light does heat the water that is held in this stage of the purification process when the system is not producing water. The water runs cool in a few seconds when the system is turned on so it isn''t a real problem. The system is a great value produces great tasting water.I have two of these systems and neither work. The first system they sent would not work. Over the next 2 weeks I replaced several parts that they sent to me. At the 3 week point they sent a second system that also did not work. After messing for another 2 weeks they claimed the system would not work due to my water pressure, which is at least 20 lbs over there minimum.I even purchased a booster pump with the original system. They agreed to take the systems back, however, claimed damage and refused full credit. IThey shipped everything back to me and the only damage was to the tank valve and it was their box.
They would never speak on the phone and would only communicate by e-mail.
This system in my opinion is a piece of junk.
