I travel several times a year and this great idea works very well at the airports. Once you get through security...the x-ray security techs do look at the Travel Brita as some kind of security issue, but after you explain to them what it is, they are fine with it. After all the hoopla, you are ready to fill your Travel Brita at any water fountain or even in the bathroom sink. Once filtered, you can pour the filtered water into your own empty water bottle and save up to $4 a bottle for drinkable great tasting water. It is a minor inconvenience but well worth it when you consider the price of bottled water in the kiosks and restarants! I also used the Travel Brita at the hotel. The tap water was awful, like the airport water. I recommend changing the filter after 3 weeks of airport/hotel use. It seems the filter does break down at some point there after and the metal and awful taste returns after being filtered with the old filter.

Brita no longer makes these excellent cups. I have purchased 5 of them over the past couple of years, as they become available by individuals. They are the perfect water cup, for the office, home, and anywhere you want a perfect sized cup for your favorite beverage. They are solid, and can survive a drop or two to the kitchen floor. I hand wash these, as repeated dishwasher use makes them brittle, as with most plastics.
