Well, we have been using the berkey light water filter for about six months now. The water tastes great. However, my wife put it together when it first came in. Recently, we pulled the filters off to clean the plastic bin. Well, what do you know, there is a #7 on the bottom. I do not suggest buying the Berkey light unless you like adding BPA to your nicely filtered water. After paying 200 dollars I realize I should have gotten the aluminum one.
