What was more shocking is after adding water time after time after time when I started to disassembled it to return it IT WAS FULL OF MORE THAN ONE CUP OF WATER!
And that means it does not know when it needs water and it leaks. Two issues.
If not for them I tell you the accessories are the thing. The mitt truly protects your hand from high heat. Heck I''d use it with a regular iron. The lint attachment works well. The hose was surprise. IT IS LIKE VELVET. Truly nice to hold. Steam head is nice and large.
But that''s all I got to enjoy because by time I covered shoulder to waist on a long coat (front only) I realized I had a floor full of water and I was done!
I''ll let you know if an exchange is any better. I''m beginning to think it won''t help either.
Can anyone tell me of one that is a lot better than this?I was so excited at the prospect of no longer having to iron so thought I''d invest in a quality steamer...unfortunately this one SUCKS! MAYBE 5 mins of steambecause you need to stop and refill the water tank every few minutes way less than the 20 they stated....and still tons of wrinkles...and takes too long -twisting and turning to get the wrinkles out easier to do the old fashion iron and board....bahhhh humbug! what a disappointment:=(

This item is mis-advertised. Quite often, it spits out water instead of steam. The advertisement says it will steam for twenty minutes before refilling the container. Five minutes of steam time is all you get. It takes longer to attach garment, adjust hooks and clips than it would to steam iron by hand the conventional way. I would not recommend this item.Ted

I did not receive this product from Amazon, however I do like this product. It has not taken me very long to get wrinkles out and the steam lasts through at least 4-5 garments. More than 2 sessions of use. Also, I have not had any problems with leakage of water. You do have to make sure you keep the hose from getting twisted which stops the steam and causes drips.Want Haan GS60 Convertible Steamer and Sanitizer Discount?
Bought this to steam new draperies.Since I was not doing clothing, I didn''t bother to assemble the stand. I put in 2 of their measuring cups of water, and waited for the steam to start.
The machine leaked, spit water all over the place, and shut off (no water indicator came on) every few seconds. I went back to the reviews, and found numerous similar complaints. My wife was ready to return this piece of #$%^.
After a while, I figured out that I must have been overfilling it. That explains why it was spitting water, but why it kept shutting off is beyond me.
Anyway, I went back to the instructions, where they indicated that 2 cups was the proper amount of water. They didn''t mention that the measuring cup that was provided held 2 cups. You only need 1 of their measuring cups to fill it!!
The next time I used the machine, I assembled the stand and used about 1 1/2 cups of water. I placed the machine in the stand with the hose stretched and the nozzle in the holder until it started steaming steadily. Then I took the machine out of the stand and used it as a portable.
The machine steamed perfectly for over 15 minutes (it was still going strong when I finished). I don''t know if using the stand at start-up made a difference.
Haven''t tried it again yet, but I guess the initial problems were a case of RTMS (Read The Manual, Stupid).
Hope this helps others.
