I purchased this product via Amazon to replace an older 4-stage, OMNI reverse osmosis water filtration system. The OMNI unit always provided great tasting water from the ground well. I decided I didn''t like the tank under the sink (it started rusting externally) So, I discarded the OMNI when the DuPont System arrived. What a mistake! While the DuPont system installed easily without any leaks, I discovered it does not filter out all water taste issues. Customer service at DuPont verified that it cannot filter out any sodium tastes that may be in your water. It does filter out viruses and biological entities. I''m sure it filters out rust and sediment too, since there are 2 carbon pre-filters. But for my situation, the system does not work. So, I purchased another reverse osmosis unit. I must say that Amazon does have a great return policy for situations like this, which I greatly appreciate!
