Digital Water Purity Tester (Blue/White)

I brought this device several days ago. Tested out my tap water which was rated between 125-130. Yes, Anchorage, Alaska do have good water. However, visiting a friend in the valley, his water without the filter was around 550s and with the filter was 230s. Obviously he was using well water that needed filtering. I also tested this device around other part of the greater Anchorage area and found various different readings.

Overall, upon my personal testing of this device, I found it to work pretty well. Its pretty easy to used, let the water run for ten seconds and filled with a small glass and test. Testing only take a few seconds. Its appears to be accurate and reliable. I write "appears" since I have nothing else to compared it with. It might be fun to try out this device when I go to Europe this summer. The small size and super light weight, it seem to be tailor made for travellers.

As a water tester, it a pretty good price and value. Of course, it does not test for virus, bacteria or organic chemicals. Nor does it tell you specifically what kind of inorganic chemicals that may be in the water. I guess for the price you pay, that might be asking too much. But its a good warning device, especially for travellers. If the water in your motel/hotel room looks bit weird and taste funny, this device will confirm your belief.

The instruction sheet proves to be well written, it comes with batteries already installed, and there''s a read out table on the side of the device as well. The battery cover is rather hard to take out but overall, a pretty good product. I can recommended to anyone until I know better.

I ordered one to test my house tap water and RO filter water. I was surprise by the reading I got. Tap = 430ppm and filtered water = 35ppm. So, I order 10 more of these for friends and families. Then the truth of the product Quality and Accuracy was reveal. All of them read differently using the same tap water. Well, to make the story short. One of the testers was not reading at all while 2 of the testers read 750 and 830 which is way above the range of tap water. Now, I am confused are these reading are accurate to determine the purity of my water. The worst part is that I am unable to call their customer support. The voice message keep telling you that their customer representative is busy serving other customer and leave them a message. In conclusion I do not recommend this product to anyone from now on. If you need to test the purity of your water I recommend buying the tester that you can calibrate with a reference fluid which is much more accurate.

Many problems with this order. One: The item I received was nothing like the item pictured. Two: The item I received was a water tester, but did not function at all. I will be contacting the seller for a refund. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Don''t waste your time or money to save a buck, buy something better from a better seller.
