This is quite simply the best water filtration unit I have ever used. It was fairly straightforward to install. There was no taste what so ever left from the heavily chlorinated city water that we have. The filtration unit itself is quite impressive. It has digital monitors on it so that you can see the remaining filter life. The unit will also keep the water flow going through the unit even after the filter has reached its life cycle. The only annoying part for us was finding an electrical outlet for the unit which is required for the LED indicators and the antimicrobial UV lamp. We were able to rig an extension cord behind the counter to get it working. Overall we are extremely satisfied with this unit.

I bought this water filter after doing lots of research; I read that eSpring water purifiers filter more types of water hardness/minerals than Reverse Osmosis. But what I found is that above statement is true IF WATER HAS MILD hardness. It did not work for high level of hardness present in phoenix water, it was a big disappointment.

I tried both version of eSpring water purifiers and used it for two weeks hoping that there may be a break-in time to the filters. But NO!! the eSpring just could not filter water-hardness of phoenix-water.

It was a big disappointment, If water hardness is high in your neighborhood, do not waste your time/money on it. Get a RO system.

Now I have RO system, it may filter some good mineral but at least it removes all hardness in the water.

Good thing was: the eSpring sellers were good and nice enough that they did not charge me with re-stocking fee.

Very, very pleased with this water purifier. It is well worth the money. I am on a co-op water well which gets way too much chlorine and this gives me the best tasting water I''ve had in a long time. I would recommend to everyone. I was using Brita filters and they are okay but this is much better, more convenient and with the ionizer, safer too. It takes up very little room. The only drawback for me was I had to add an electrical outlet to hook it up but it was worth it.
