Super-cute, but not for all tea leaves. I learned that the hard way with Thai tea, which I had bugged my boyfriend into sending me. It was also difficult to clean this thing out afterwards; that particular experience was an unmitigated disaster.

I''m sure it works better with other tea leaves which aren''t ground so small, but those other teas that I drink already come in their own teabags.

Ah, I love my yellow submarine tea infuser. I haven''t used any tea leaves so fine that I had any issues with it. I wish it had a little more ventilation? holes? Whatever you call them, because it doesn''t steep quickly. You have to bob it up and down for a bit to get a good steeping. That aside, it is the CUTEST thing in the world, and you can''t beat silicone which is a safe and very food safe material. The chain is long enough for most glasses and mugs as well.

This is such a fun product! Even though it''s hard to clean the teas out of it, it''s so amazingly cute and reminds me of my beloved Beatles, so I can forgive it anything. My cat loves to fish for it in my mug full of tea, and she has a great taste, so, giving it extra points. Now I need to find a way to keep my cat paws away from my tea. But it''s not the little thing''s fault. It''s all my cat. Happy tea time!

Our 9 mo. old daughter got this for daddy''s first father''s day as he''s on a Tea-kick these days and is also a HUGE Beetles fan... he absolutley loved this and it''s so easy to clean. It''s really the perfect size too, only thing I can say that bothers me is that some of the loose tea flakes seap through but maybe it''s the tea I purchased.. could be ground too finely?
