Homax White Ring Remover 2236I didn''t think this product would work, but it really did. I spotted it at Lowe''s this afternoon (for under $6), thought it was unlikely to work, but it was worth a try. A year ago I was given a SOLID cherry dining room table made probably in the 60s. Unfortunately, on the top was a 9x9 inch white mark caused by a hot dish and two 3 inch white circles caused by spills. I think the finish is ordinary gloss varnish, and I think the marks had been there for years. I thought I''d either need to always use a table cloth or refinish the top. So I tried this stuff. I''d recommend using rubber gloves. I don''t know what is in this, but it''s some sort of solvent and some sort of oil. It has an odd smell. Also, you need to be patient. After about 30 minutes of rubbing, the two smaller marks were gone and the large one was about 90% gone and not noticeable without looking carefully. I guess whatever is on the cloth has to work into the finish and allow the trapped water molecules that cause the white discoloration to escape. In any case, I''m delighted.

I used this product to remove "heat spots" (white film in the finish) on my coffee table and end table. The heat spots were created when I placed hot plates of food on the tables without anything underneath to protect the tables. I was so disappointed in myself when I did this and I purchased this product not really expecting it to work. Wow, was I surprised! It took less than five minutes for me to rub out the spots. I then polished both tables with my regular furniture polish and now it was as if it never happened!

This product is amazing. After a series of cleaning ladies left splatters of water marks on my furniture, I was sure I was going to have to refinish the surface of several pieces. Before doing that, I thought I would try Jasco White Ring Remover. I was astounded by the outcome. All of the water marks were gone and there was a beautiful finish to the furniture. I am going to buy several more of these so that I can always have it on hand.

I''ve sadly ruined my expensive office desk with a plant germination tray sitting on top of a seedling heat mat three years ago. The combination of the permeating moisture + heat devastatingly ruined the beautiful mahogany furniture. I had to hide the unsightly white marks with a desk calendar, and planned on getting the desk professionally refinished one day. I decided to buy the Homax White Ring remover thinking that it''s cheap enough to try, yet assuming that it probably would not work. Well, today I''m so happy to learn that I was wrong! The product is a single shammy-like reusable cloth wet with oily/waxy solution that smells like a rawhide dog chew. The direction states "Rub gently with a clean cloth with the wood grain until white rings, marks and surface scratches disappear..." Initially, I did''t think rubbing was making any difference, and then I noticed that some of the less prominent white marks started to disappear! I kept rubbing with increased pressure and then noticed that the cloth started turning darker with the furniture stain. The product actually takes off the discolored finish through a gentle solvent polishing action, and I had stop rubbing so hard in one area which started to get lighter in color. I finished off the project with Old English Scratch Cover For Dark Wood 8 Ounce and you can see the beautiful amazing result on my photo. I was able to fix another table ruined with a hot Domino''s pizza box, and I can''t believe that I was able fix both furniture with just a few dollars! I''m so delighted with the unexpected result!!!
