These filters work fine to take chlorine out of your water. You screw them onto a standard shower pipe and your showerhead goes onto them in front. The threads on this filter are plastic, so you need to be careful not to booger them up. It''s not possible to see how the pipe is going into the rear threads, so you need to feel it out and get it on tight. Some teflon tape is included -this should be wrapped clockwise around the shower pipe threads.

I rate it 4/5 stars due to the plastic threads. These aren''t so cheap at $40 and put a lot of plastic in the landfill if you change them every 6 months. You might want to take a look at more solidly built alternatives that use small replacement cartridges and cost less in the long run. The same company, Sprite Industries, also makes a Universal Shower Filter in nickel that takes small $15 cartridges.

I did alot of research before buying this shower filter. It''s great. The boyfriend installed it in about 1 minute. It doesn''t impede the water flow very much at all and look quite good in the shower. We already can feel the effects of the filter on our skin. I highly recommend this product.

Due to a malicious design the filters can not be stacked one on top of another for better filtration performance and the plumbing fittings are going to cost you and arm and a leg. I had to buy Aquasana shower filters because they can be put in a row connected to each other. If your public water utility is good buy only one but if you live in New York City this product is not for you. So much for having the purest water in US.
