It works well, discharging some water when you invert the 5 gallon water bottle over the cooler. The ball cock is plastic and wants to float too soon after inversion. If it was stainless steel the cooler''s built in extender would lift the ball after inversion not allowing for any water discharge except into the cooler. There is a small amount of spillage compared to inverting without the Easy Load. Do not invert unless you are over the cooler because the ballcock will rise and allow water to discharge from the bottle. A 5 gallon bottle filled is close to 40 pounds. Not an easy task for most people to handle.

I was really skeptical, oh so skeptical, but thought I would give it a try. I bought two and was prepared to hate them both and was prepared to be angry at the shipping charges and at the length of time they were supposed to take to get shipped to my door. Oh my goodness! First of all, the shipping, which was supposed to take 2 weeks, only took a couple of days. Secondly, these Easy Load Screw on devices are so amazing. We were getting delivered Culligan water and it was costing us more than $60 per month with the rental unit and 7 bottles of water and then, of course, and on the deposit. So, when we bought our $125 dispenser and 6 water bottles, I figured all was good, until it came time to flip the bottles into the dispenser. I think I dumped a good gallon or so onto the floor before I got them situated in the dispenser. We have hardwood floors, so I had to move the dispenser out each time and mop the floor and then move it back again. I was about ready to go back to Culligan when I found these little gems! I must drop about 3 drops of water when taking the bottles on and off. They work perfectly with the 3 and 5 gallon bottles--we have both. My husband is disabled and cannot lift more than 10 pounds, so the hoisting is up to me. I am a small woman--5''3" and weigh about 128 pounds, but with these Easy Load caps, I can manage it all myself with little effort and NO MESS! Thank you so much for this product--I totally recommend it. Oh, and for those of you who purchased Whirlpool dispensers--the regular size works just fine! Best of all, it costs us just $1.85 to fill one 5 gallon bottle with clean, refreshing reverse osmosis water! oh yeah!

My center post was about 2.4 inches and once i put the bottle on, the entire bottle was resting on the cap/ball by a quarter inch (as a result, my cap bent and is useless). I would recommend anybody with a post larger than 2 inches just get the extended cap to prevent this type of issue.

I bought two just to have a spare. The only bad part was that amazon charged me for two shipping fee. Even though it came from same company. Other than that the product work perfect. I hope they fix this issue. I found this at one of my local water filling store . same price and if I bought it there I would have saved the shipping price even with tax added.

I recently purchase a water dispenser and was having trouble when it came time to change to the next 5 gallon jug. It is hard enough to flip those jugs over to begin with, but trying to do it quickly as to not spill a bunch of water was a pain. This cap minimizes the amount of spillage to just a few droplets. It has caused no other issues with dispensing or anything, I am happy with my purchase.
