The part seems well made and fits correctly into my Aprilaire humidifier, doing what it should as a replacement part. The only downside is that when it turns off, there is a water-hammer sound that I didn''t have with the old solenoid. I''m not sure what difference in construction would cause it, though this valve body is metal instead of plastic.
